Richardson Spiral Welding Pipe Machine. Designed and Built by the highly repected King Country engineer, the late Ben Richardson. Some of the pipes manufactured and used in projects locally were:- The Clearwater Mangapehi Hydro Project, 2007/2008, where a total of 1530 metres 1226 diameter x 4mm,x 1200mm wide coil, 220mmetres 1226 diameter x 5mm x 910mm wide coil, 210 metres 1226 diameter x 6mm x 910mm wide coil. A total of 1. 960 kms.
Waipa Hydro project:- 3000 metres 1226 diameter x 4mm x 1200mm wide coil, 5000 metres 1226 diameter x 5mm x 910 wide coil. a total of 8kms.
